Asma
Age: 17 years old
Family members:
Asma: She is 17 years old and does not go to school now. Asma stopped studying after failing the 10th grade. She wants to give another chance to study by appearing in the 10th board and study further. However, she cannot, as there is no female at home. Asma is planning learn embroidery and then make another door for the earnings, by sewing embroidery for other people.
Father – Rashid: He is 52 years old. He owns an electronics shop situated in the city, which is does not give enough earnings for the house. His wife, Najma has departed from the world 2 years ago.
Brother – Munis: He is 18 years old. He gave the 12th board exams recently and is waiting for his results. He will decide if he will study further or not, depending on the 12th board results. If he Fails, he wont study further, however if passes, he would continue for sometime till he has enough education to get a good job. He helps his father in the shop and seeking for a job too. However, lack of enough study and age he is not getting a good job that gives enough earnings for the family. He is impatiently waiting for the results.
Reason for not continuing the school:
Father Says: Since Asma’s mother died, she stopped going to school and started working at home. She will stitch embroidery in future after learning embroidery satisfactorily. I cannot send her to school, as right now, we are in a bad state and need money anyway possible. If I send Asma to school then, the money will be spend for her education and one door of earning money will be closed. Hence sending her to school it is not possible right now. Moreover, she will get married soon, in about 3-4 years. Until then she will earn enough money for her marriage. I m going to make Munis study further. At least until he is worth a good job with handsome salary. From all three family members there would be income for daily expenses and future.
