Significance of my issue

AIDS (acquired immunity deficiency syndrome) is a fatal disease that is spreading throughout the world rapidly. It is a disease that stops the production of WBC (white blood cells) in our body which prevents the body from curing itself from any malfunctioning. This does not have any cure and thus it leads to death. AIDS can spread in four ways, physical relation (intercourse), generation, blood donation and using the same syringes with several patients. Due to these problems, AIDS is spreading from one body to another. With over one billion population, India’s 2.4 million populations are contaminated by AIDS. India is third in HIV ratings after South Africa and Nigeria.

Prevent AIDS use condoms

In India and especially in Ahmedabad people are very reserved when it comes to AIDS. People in India are very strict and prefer to stay away from the person who is HIV positive.

India has a very old tradition of caste and such things. Our society does not except certain people who have some problem and are not normal. The society throws or kicks them out of the group. People who are infected and kicked out are excluded from the society and are not even allowed to talk to the others. Just like any other disease is also contagious but only through blood contact of any physical relation. But people in India are not really educated about sex and thus don’t understand that AIDS does not spread throw normal contact.

This is a major issue and because of this thousands of people are dying. People need to know this and everybody should be educated so that the chances of AIDS are reduced. Physical relation is the most common way of distribution of AIDS.

If such precautions are not taken into consideration then probably in 2010, there would be over 20- 25 million AIDS cases. I also think that people should be aware about sex and should attempt sex education session. Now if people are aware of such issues then only this problem can be eliminated and so this would be an attempt to aware people about AIDS.
