Traffic rules, moreover, are meant for the safety of the public which nowadays freely violates them. In many Indian cities, like Ahmedabad, people freely skip red lights. Traffic lights are there so that all intersections can run freely, without jams or accidents. Yet most people go around abdicating their responsibility towards these rules. Even when a traffic official is there to regulate, people jump red lights. Most crossroads situated in the core of the city are jammed in rush hours. Some stay jammed throughout the day. (more…)
